FAFSA Update: If you are planning to come to either of the Wednesday night FAFSA help nights (January 17th and 24th from 6pm-8pm), I recommend that both student and parent create their FSA IDs. This will allow time for your information to be verified prior to completing the FAFSA application. Parents may already have created one for other children attending college or if they have recently attended college themselves. To create the FSA ID, go to: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch

As the first semester at most colleges comes to an end, it may be necessary to turn in your first semester grades for a scholarship you earned last year. If you were awarded a scholarship that required your first semester grades, please turn in a copy of your transcript to Mrs. Kugel so we can get the scholarship money to you. You can either drop off a transcript or email it to lkugel@osakis.k12.mn.us.

The People & the Environment Class had a blast at the Sustainability Challenge at the University of Minnesota Morris on November 15. Students toured several sites to learn more about making rural communities stronger with energy independence. Joining a group of over 150 students from 8 different counties, our students got a close-up look at a wind turbine, solar panels, a prototype battery, and much more. It was a great experience!
